Each company has its own set of procedures and policies, often referred to as company politics or company philosophy. In most cases, these things can go hand in hand with improving processes, and trying to have the best quality in the business. Sometimes, however, the two just don’t get along.

Business and Politics
It is not difficult to find the difference between philosophy and politics through the Six Sigma Projects system. Many businesses are good at using Six Sigma Projects, but the main problem is that employees and businesses don’t always deal well with change. Sometimes change is good and Six Sigma Projects are the direction to hire to make improvements and show your employees that change doesn’t have to be a bad thing.
Some company philosophies agree with the ideals of the Six Sigma Project, but that’s not the case often. Agin, it’s a matter of selling good ideas to employees whose areas are wary of change. There’s always a difference between employees who play company politics and those who just want to get away with books. Using your Six Sigma Project training, you can help define a fine line between the two and make everyone happy.
Can brands separate ethics from politics?
When Six Sigma philosophies have to combat corporate politics, the results are seldom good. Every company has deep politics and the bigger the company, the more battles will be fought. You can ignore the problem or you can face it directly with a Six Sigma program. There are no guarantees, but it’s much easier to fight against those looking to invest in company politics if you get in with Six Sigma skills that can strip those problems before they split the business.
There are many more ways that Six Sigma can benefit your company, but you should first make sure that your employees buy into it with at least some enthusiasm for change. The positive impact will be commensurate with the insecurity people might take on the program, and there are hurdles to clear in establishing their faith, but it could easily be worth it in the long run for your employees and their business.
